Wednesday 17 May Naxos to Santorini

Lounged at hotel for morning, then packed up and headed into Hora, the main town of Naxos. Explored the streets and alleyways and old Venetian towers and battlements for a couple of hours, then got to the port and onto the fast ferry to Santorini. An hour and a half later, and here we are. Hired a wee car at the port (way cheaper than getting the bus into town, and ours for the whole 24 hours we are here) and drove up to our hotel. Sat on balcony to watch the spectacular sunset which Santorini is famous for. Now very windy and threatening rain - reception just phoned to warn us to close the shutters tonight, so we may be in for a good storm. We are cosy and warm though, so let it blow!

Hmmm, first time we have seen one of these ...

    1. Hi Caroline, sorry to hear about Grant, that is sad news. Bet the kids enjoyed the concert, it is always entertaining performing to a real live audience. Hope the frosts continue to hold off. Cheers, Dinah
